AllTerra Central and CSDS announce the acquisition of Allen Instruments & Supplies

SACRAMENTO, CA, November 3, 2021 - AllTerra Central and California Surveying & Drafting Supply, Inc. (CSDS), two leading Trimble Geospatial dealers globally, announce the purchase of Allen Instruments & Supplies from Empire Technology Holdings, headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona. Allen Instruments, a family business since 1969, is a Trimble Geospatial dealer with active representation in the Southwest USA. Acquired by Empire Technology holdings in 2015, Allen Instruments has been a leading provider in GPS, Robotics, LIDAR and survey solutions in Southern California and Arizona. The acquisition will be effective on November 30, 2021.

AllTerra Central, the leading dealer of geospatial equipment in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico will now expand its product offerings and professional solutions into Arizona, with an office and storefront in Scottsdale. California Surveying & Drafting Supply, Inc. is acquired by Cansel, the largest distributor of land-based positioning gear in Canada

On January 6, 2021 Cansel, a software, hardware, and service provider to engineering, surveying, construction and utility industries, announced the strategic acquisition of California Surveying & Drafting Supply (CSDS) in Sacramento, California with retail locations in Dublin and Fresno. Over the past 30 years, CSDS has ranked among the leading U.S. Trimble distribution partners as a reseller and is one of America’s largest HP DesignJet dealers. Similar to Cansel, CSDS has built expertise in the surveying, MGIS and wide format markets and are considered experts in 3D laser scanning and UAV technologies. CSDS also operates California’s largest real-time GNSS network, providing precision positioning with one-centimeter accuracy for surveying, mapping, engineering, forensics and agricultural applications.
